A glimpse of the four silsilah; Chishti, Suhrawardi, Naqshbandi and Qadiri.

Maulana Abdul Hamid Ibn Ibrahim Is'haq Sahib (Damat Barakatuhum)

Principal of Daarul Uloom Azaadville, South Africa and A Senior Khalifa of Hazrat Maulana Shah Hakeem Muhammad Akhtar Sahib (R.A)

He was born on the 24th of Shawwal 1364 AH (20th September 1946) on the auspicious day of Jumuah at 1 p.m. (the time of Jumuah) in Primrose, a district of Germiston, on the East Rand, as recorded by his father on the back of his birth certificate. He grew up in difficult conditions. The dwelling of his family was a stable which had been converted into a house. At the young age of nine, he lost his mother, Amina. (May Allah Ta'ala shower her Qabr with His mercy). He attained his Maktab education at Madrasah Quwwatul-Islam in Germiston. Amongst his teachers were: Maulana Fakhruddin Sahib (R.A), Hafiz Muhammad Salloo Sahib (R.A), Maulana Ahmed Bera Sahib (R.A) and Apa Zubeida (R.A)

The four silsilahs

Alhamdulillah, praise is due to Allah ta'ala alone for connecting us to Rasulullah sallahu alaihi wasallam through spiritual and academic links.

Among spiritual links that have reached us was the one through the honorable principal of Darul Ulum Azaadville, Maulana Abdul Hamid Ishaq DB.

It is a famous Deobandi silsilah and goes as follows:

الشیخ مولانا عبد الحميد إسحاق دامت بركاتهم

الشیخ مولانا شاه حكيم محمد أختر رحمة اللہ عليه

محیي السنة مولانا أبرار الحق هردوئی رحمة اللہ عليه

حکیم الأمة مولانا أشرف علي تھانوي رحمة اللہ عليه

الحاج إمداد اللہ المہاجر المکي رحمة اللہ عليه

Through the spiritual mentors of Haji Imadullah rahmatullah 'alaih, the chain goes on further to the four famous silsilah in the Indian subcontinent.

  الچشتية                                                        القادرية                                                       النقشبندية                                                       السُهْرَوَرْدية

All these silsilah gushed out from the same spiritual fountain of Rasulullah sallahu 'alaihi wasallam.
