What I Desire More Than Anything in this World

In This day and age, many of us have become materialistic. They desire more than anything else; beautiful houses, shiny cars, nice clothes, delicious foods and other material things. This desire is the result of too much love for this world. This is the reason why they have forgotten the Hereafter which is our true home where we will stay forever.

As a muslim, I only desire Jannah. May Allah give it to me and to all muslims who are worshipping Him. I will not say I do not desire material things as well, but I try to only desire  that which will benefit me in this world and the Hereafter. For example, I want to become an Alim who fears Allah, marry a girl with beauty and knowledge, who belongs to a noble family and most important that she fears Allah. I would also love to have children one day who are god – fearing. But my biggest desire to leave this world as a true muslim and true believer in Allah and a true follower of His messenger ( S.A.W ).

May Allah make this dream come true for me and all the muslims in the world, Amin!

Why We Should Follow the Sunnah of Rasulullah (S.A.W)

The Sunnah refers to how Nabi Muhammad (S.A.W) lived his life. Nabi Muhammad (S.A.W) left his example for mankind to follow, so that people may know the difference between the lawful and unlawful. The Sunnah also teaches us the difference between belief and disbelief.

If we practice the Sunnah of Nabi Muhammad (S.A.W) and teach it to other people, certainly there will be reward for us from Allah. We should try to follow the Sunnah of Nabi Muhammad (S.A.W) because he is the final and beloved Messenger of Allah.

There are many Sunnah acts performed by Nabi Muhammad (S.A.W). Below a few are listed:

1. Entering the toilet with the left foot and exiting with the right foot

2. Eating with three fingers

3. Spreading Salaam/greetings amongst people

4. Wearing the turban.

Lastly, we have learnt from our teachers that those who practice upon even one Sunnah of Nabi Muhammad (S.A.W) in this time and age, he will be given the reward of hundred martyrs.

May Allah grant us all this great reward and make us follow the Sunnah of our beloved Nabi Muhammad (S.A.W).

Why I chose to study at Madrasah?

Allah created us to worship and please Him. Allah provided the Quran and His messenger Muhammad (S.A.W) for us to follow His guidance. I have realized that I lack in my knowledge of Islam, so I decided to study here at this Madrasah, Madrasah Al–Hikmah, in order to improve myself and become a better Muslim. InshAllah, I hope that after developing into a better Muslim, I will be able to spread the knowledge gained of Islam to the next generation.

This is one of the reasons why I have chosen to study at Madrasah. May Allah accept me and also give all of us the desire to study Islam at Madrasah, Amin.
